Project Management

Managing the links between ideas, reality, people and timelines is a craft all by itself. .

Project management - pre construction

Right from the start, pre-construction work can begin to inform the design phase and the project as a whole.

Price per square meter estimates can help to set initial budgets and expectations and early conversations with contractors, artisans and technical experts can help determine the economic and physical feasibility of design concepts.

There is then often a process of commissioning relevant or obligatory technical studies, topographic surveys, soil and ground surveys etc and designs will need to be validated and turned into execution drawings that can be delivered by the contractors or trades.

Finally there’s a thorough pricing and budgeting exercise that brings everything together with quotes or estimates from the relevant contractors into a budget sheet that forms the backbone of the construction phase

Project management - construction

With everything planned and priced it’s time to execute.

On a day to day basis the logistics of deliveries and integrating different contractors needs to be coordinated and managed to make sure design concepts and ideas are integrated as intended.

During the build we track budgets and timelines and we can act as mandated administrative, technical and financial assistance, for instance in dealing with the local Marie or EDF for connection to public services and sanitation and in accepting quotes and authorising work.

It’s an ongoing process, listening to feedback and most importantly communicating between clients and contractors from day one on site through to final sign off.
